Audi RS3 for the upcoming version will be fitted with 5-Cylinder Turbo from the current TT-RS engine. This statement reportedly comes from Michael Dick, a member of Audi’s board of management for technical development.

Audi RS3′s engine will be Audi’s 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Powered by amazing engine and combined with lightweight car’s construction the same light as the TT-RS, the upcoming Audi RS3 will hit 0-62 mph in reasonable time of 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 179 mph or 288 km/h.

Audi A3 with production’s time is not scheduled to be unveiled until 2011 giving an indication that the upcoming Audi RS3 will be on the road within several years.
