Specter Werkes’ update Corvette GTR coming with 615hp
Specter Werkes, the Michigan-based tuner has unveiled its updated version of its C6-based Corvette GTR. The tuned car is available now for sale. It features combination between custom bodywork and an extra 80hp (60kW) over the previous version.
The custom bodywork includes carbon fiber details on the exterior, a new front fascia, extractor hood, carbon fiber splitter, front fenders, rocker panels, doors, rear fenders, a carbon fiber rear diffuser, and rear fascia. The modified car is equipped with Forgeline VR3P wheels, measuring 19in up front and 20in in the rear. The wheels are combined with 285/30ZR19 front and 335/25ZR20 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Zero Press tires. Braking performance features 15in slotted brake discs and six pistons up front mate with 14in and four piston calipers in the rear. Not left, the car is also equipped with a Corsa exhaust and gets full widebody treatment, with broadened suspension and a wider covering.
The exterior comes with BASF liquid silver color while the interior is equipped with GTR-standard embroidered seats and Spinneybeck leather trim details. The price for this update version is similar to the previous version, at base price of $34,995.
The engine refinement gives the car an extra 80hp (60kW) to total of 615hp (459kW) and 578lb-ft (783Nm) of torque. This performance figure is the base version of the LS3’s 6.2L to 6.8L engine. The speed maniacs could choose the other performance figure options as well as the tuner gives range option.
