Morgan Aero SuperSports to debut at Villa d’Este

Morgan will make debut its luxury sporty sportcar that combined the exotic of classic looking and the current materials, equipment and engineering at the 2009 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. This car is embodiment of 100 years anniversary of family-owned Morgan manufacture. The special edition car is designed and engineered in-house, except its engine.

Morgan Aero SuperSports is powered by BMW engine that features a choice of six-speed automatic or manual transmission. Wrapping the engine is a lightweight aluminum chassis that has the same specs as the Aero Eight car currently campaigning in the FIA GT3 Championship. Coming with powerful engine and high advanced chassis, Morgan Aero SuperSports will give beautiful performance.

Morgan Aero SuperSports feature two detachable aluminum roof panels. The car can be converted between a coupe and an open-top roadster but unlike many small and sporty detachable hard-tops, the lids store conveniently in the Morgan’s trunk.

Morgan Aero SuperSports will be produced starting in early next year with a retail price of around £127,000 ($185,000). The buyers have to put down a £25,000 ($36,500) deposit for securing theirs.
