Mazda MX-5 GT roadster racing car
Mazda UK has made announcement that their Mazda MX-5 roadster will participate in the 2012 British GT Championship which will starts in 7 and 9 April at Oulton Park in Cheshire. The MX-5 roadster will enter the GT class while competing with other brands such as Nissan, Lotus, Ginetta, and also Aston Martin.
The company has claimed that their new Mazda MX-5 GT race car is the fastest and most powerful MX-5 model in the world. Powered by 2.0-liter engine mated to a paddle shift sequential six-speed Hewland gearbox, the Mazda MX-5 GT roadster may develops 315 bhp, accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3 seconds, and reach a maximum speed of 160 mph with its 1,000 kg weighs.
Mazda hopes that their Mazda MX-5 GT roadster racing car will be a winner in the championship this year. Mazda has develop the power and handling of their supercar in order to maximize the strength that was studied before.
