Koenigsegg All-New Quant for Geneva Motor Show


Koenigsegg has published its two teaser photos of  the all-New Quant which will go to debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. One photo is from front side while the other shows its interior. The new player in high end supercar class will come into the big name’s territory like Porsche, Aston Martin, and even Lamborghini.

Koenigsegg All-New Quant will come in the shape of new platform. Although there are official onnouncement about details, but many guess that the car will be powered by a next-generation of the 800hp+ (597kW+) CCX line of supercars or the same 1018 horsepower flex-fuel engine used in the CCXR. Engine will be mated with a double-clutch gearbox which capable of 30ms shifts, lighter than the outgoing unit, and requires less space. There are no performance figure has been released, but as Koenigsegg car it should be a very fast car. To make the car easier to control uses an electronic differential brake.

It is rumored that the super high performance car of Koenigsegg will be a four-seater. And one option for car’s material will use carbon fiber at least as usually used on the high performance supercar.

MP3, Bluetooth, iPod sync, and climate control, also tracks power and torque at the wheels, lap times and various other performance metrics will be biggest candidate
for both the CCX and the Quant’s new multimedia system with touch screen.
