BMW to to introduce 306HP 3.0-liter twin Turbo Diesel on 735d
BMW has announced that will introduce its new powerful 3.0-liter diesel engine. Featuring twin-turbocharger, straight-six configuration and delivering maximum output of 306 horsepower at 4,400 rpm with a peak torque of 600 Nm or 442 lb-ft at just 1,500 rpm, the new engine will be the successor to the current 3.0-liter inline-six diesel with 286HP at 4,400 rpm and 580Nm or 428 lb-ft at 1,750 rpm on the 735d, X5 35d, 335d, etc.
The BMW’s new 3.0-liter diesel engine is not only more powerful but also more efficient (4% than the predecessor) and also green. It will be clear after the German automaker mounting it for the first time in the 735d and then followed by the other models.
