BMW i8 Concept is a two-door sports car concept which powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The company also said that the new generation BMW i8 concept will become a modern and sustainable sports car.

The electric drive system of the concept (taken from the previously BMW i3 model outputs 170 hp and 250 Nm) is combined with a high-performance 3-cylinder combustion engine (develops 164 kW/220 hp and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque).
