Aston Martin V12 Vantage to compete in Nurburgring 24H race


Aston Martin will also compete in Nurburgring 24-hour endurance challenge in Germany. The British company’s car option is the latest super-sports car, the all-new V12 Vantage coupe that will be additional to the original yellow V8 Vantage that ran in 2006. The V8 model has clocked up four 24-hour race finishes and more than 20,000 endurance miles. The design is inspired by the Vantage N24 model and GT4 race car.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last month. Powered by a 6.0L V12 engine, the race car will be armed with 510hp (380kW) of power and 420lb-ft (570Nm) of torque. There is no different in term of engine and aerodynamic between the standard V12 Vantage and the race car. According to Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez that Nurburgring 24-hour race will be the final engineering durability test for the V12 Vantage program.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage race car comes with a mount modifications including safety equipment, weight saving, re-tuned suspension, and new tires of Pirelli P Zero Circuit Racing.
