Arden heavily modified Mini Equipe
Arden Engineering has heavily modified the Mini Equipe to celebrate the company’s involvement with the Mini Cooper S at the British Touring Car Championship forty years ago. The modification is made for both cosmetic and performance.
Inside, the Equipe receives a custom two-tone leather upholstery scheme throughout the cabin. Hand-stitched casings and handmade stainless steel and chrome elements adorn the car front to rear, including the redesigned grille.
Outside, the Equipe is equipped with super-light 18x8in aluminum alloy wheels are 15lb each. The car is lowered by 30mm with a special Arden sport suspension. Six-piston brakes hammer the front rotors for fade-free braking. These are an indication of increasing car’s performance.
Coming to the engine, this is a serious work, not just cosmetic. Arden has upgraded the ECU, mounted a new intercooler, full stainless steel exhaust system and racing catalytic converters. This work at the engine gives the car an extra power of 40hp (30kW) and 37lb-ft (50Nm) of torque over stock.
Arden Mini Equipe is available by special order now.
