750hp Mercedes CL65 AMG by MKB


German tuner is not just Brabus and MTM, but so is the MKB. This tuner shop has tried to modified the CL65 AMG Coupe. The work includes the styling and performance upgrade.

Named the MKB 65/12 BT, the new package comes with engine, wheel and tire upgrades. Although based on the twin-turbocharged CL65 AMG Coupe but many of the styling and performance mods can be applied to any model in the CL lineup including the base CL500/550.

MKB has added the performance kit for the engine to make power jumping from 517hp (385kW) in the stock model to 750hp (560kW). The torque also increased to 922lb-ft (1,250Nm). These new performance figures give the car acceleration from 0-100km/h in 4.1 seconds and a top speed more than 350km/h.

Balancing the more powerful engine, the MKB has also added the high-performance rear axle equipped with a differential lock and a modified transmission control module to handle the boosted power levels. It is not just about a powerful machine. To improve handling; the car is lowered by25mm and has been beefed up with stiffer springs and dampers.

The MKB has also fitted the car with a set of handcrafted 20in MKB Alpha III wheels, wrapped with 255mm rubber up front and 295mm tires in the rear.

The cosmetic upgrade on exterior comes in the shape of the new side skirts, revised bumpers, a modified grille and an integrated rear diffuser. Inside, MKB’s touch presents in the shape of optional Alcantara and carbon-fiber trim.
