2011 Nissan LEAF NISMO RC

An all-electric racing version car which called Nissan LEAF NISMO RC will be unveiled by Nissan at the 2011 New York Auto Show. Nissan LEAF NISMO racing car is powered by a lithium-ion battery and a 80kW AC synchronous motor that outputs 107 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque.

Nissan LEAF NISMO RC is projected to have a running time of around 20 minutes under racing conditions, and will reach its top speed at 93 miles per hour. Nissan LEAF NISMO RC acceleration time is at 0 to 62 mph in 6.85 seconds.

When compared with the road going car version, Nisan LEAF NISMO RC has a 3.9-inch shorter wheelbase, 40 percent less weighs than the production vehicle (2,068 pounds), 0.8 inches longer, and 6.7 inches wider.

Nissan LEAF NISMO RC comes with full carbon fiber monocoque bodywork, removable front and rear sections, fixed windows, 18-inch 6-spoke wheels, P225/40R18 Bridgestone racing tires, driver-adjustable rear wing, LED headlights and taillights.
