2010 Lotus Evora, new photos revealed ahead of June launch
Lotus Evora 2+2 GT will be released in June for European market as the Japanese car has published the specification. Lotus Evora 2+2 GT was was first unveiled in July 2008 as production but it looked like the Lotus engineers wanted everything perfect before launching the sport car this June for Europe. The 2010 Lotus Evora starts at €50,412 for the basic two-seater model. Opt for the 2+2 seating configuration and buyers will have to pay an additional €3,000. Lotus has not said about the American launching yet.
Lotus released a new set of images of the Evora as part of launching. The new images show the interior and several new exterior shots.2010 Lotus Evora is powered by a 3.5L petrol V6 engine that delivers 276hp (206kW) and 252lb-ft (342Nm) of torque. This engine gives the car acceleration time from 0-100 km/h in just over 5 seconds and a top speed of over 260km/h. Completting the performance figure is better fuel consumption of 19mpg (12.4L/100km) in the city and 36mpg (6.5L/100km) on the highway.
2010 Lotus Evora rolls on 18in wheels up front-19in wheels in the rear; brings standard features that include a six-speed manual transmission, optimal shift time indicator, Bilstein dampers, a Bosch electronic differential lock, four-piston AP racing brakes, 350mm ventilated discs, twin airbags, halogen headlights, Recaro leather seats, aluminum trim, and an Alpine stereo. Optional features for 2010 Lotus Evora include a 7in touchscreen display with satellite navigation, Bluetooth and USB connection, rear parking sensors and a camera, a titanium sports exhaust tailpipe, an engine oil cooler, a sports diffuser and an engine pack with enhanced throttle response.


Lotus will be releasing a special version built in a limited run of just 450 cars to make it even more interesting launching. The special edition is ‘Lotus Evora Launch Edition’, that will be available in either Ardent Red or British Racing Green. Features for Lotus Evora Launch Edition include silver cast alloy wheels, 2+2 seating, bi-xenon headlights, a reversing camera and Alpine stereo inside.
