Competition on green car has brought every automaker to make theirselves. There no exception for Jeep. This automaker has planned to build their Wrangler powered by electrical engine as addition to the existing Wrangler. Called as 2010 Jeep Wrangler EV, this Jeep is powered by an electric motor as main power producing 200 kW or 268 hp of power and 400 Nm or 295 lb.-ft. of torque which supplied by an advanced lithium-ion battery system. The electric engine is also helped by a small gasoline engine with an integrated electric generator to produce extra power when you need. It is clear that Jeep really want their car to be strong although with green engine.
Furthermore the electric-drive motor with instant high torque and added with the ability to precisely control each wheel independently are great combination for Jeep brand without compromising on-road or off -road driving capability. And travelling as long as 400 miles from a ten-gallon of fuel combined with battery and generator power will be a great experience.
